Girlfriend Getaways
Our home is perfect for groups of friends who want a retreat from the daily demands of life, for a few days during the week or for a long weekend of fun and fellowship. The best time for a girlfriend getaway is from October to May, when we offer our most affordable rates.
Winter Snowshoe and Spa:
Rocky Mountain National Park is snowshoe country, and if you can walk, you can snowshoe! We recommend guided day trips (4 to 6 hours) through “The Warming House”, only ½ mile from our home. For a very reasonable cost, you can rent ‘gear and guide’ for a memorable day in the winter wilderness. Follow it up with a day at the spa! We recommend “Mary’s Lake Lodge Salon and Spa”, only three miles from our home. Pamper yourself with a facial treatment, massage, body treatment, pedicure, or choose from many delightful spa packages. Whatever you decide to do, hanging out with girlfriends is always a great time!
Quilters, scrapbookers, knitters, and crafters, imagine having several days of uninterrupted time to work on that project which needs to be finished. Imagine those productive days in a beautiful mountain setting next to a peaceful river. Now imagine being there with some of your closest friends! What could be better?
Our dining table becomes your sewing/crafting table. It sits in front of a large window, with a chandelier overhead, so the lighting is very good. We also provide six full-spectrum lamps for additional task lighting.
For Quilters:
We provide the following (ideal for 4 to 6 quilters):
- Large (66"x89") sewing table and chairs
- Large (24"x60") ironing board and Rowenta iron
- Counter-height cutting table (24"x48") with 23"x35" Olfa cutting mat
- Two portable 36"x60" flannel-covered design walls
- Six full-spectrum OTT lights
All you need to bring are your sewing machine, fabric, sewing tools and cutting tools! And if you forget something, there are three quilt shops nearby. Most groups bring food for breakfast and lunch, then choose from Estes Park's many fine restaurants for dinner.
For Scrapbookers:
Our large dining table offers a generous (66" x 89") work space for 4 to 6 people. And we have another 24"x48" table for additional work space. We provide six full-spectrum OTT lights. You will need to bring your supplies and tools for your individual project, but if you forget something, there is a scrapbooking store about a mile away. Most groups bring food for breakfast and lunch, then choose from Estes Park's many fine restaurants for dinner.
