Policies
Payments and Deposits: A 50% deposit is required to hold your reservation. We ask for payment in full 45 days prior to your arrival. There is a $300 refundable security deposit (also due 45 days prior), either by check (which will be deposited) or held open on your credit card.
Credit Cards: We accept Mastercard, VISA, Discover, and American Express. We also accept your personal check.
Cancellations: If your reservation is cancelled more than 45 days prior to your arrival date, your deposit will be returned less a 10% cancellation fee. With less than 45 days notice, your payments will be forfeited (unless we are able to re-rent for that reservation period - if we are able to re-rent, you will be charged a 10% cancellation fee).
You are responsible for the full number of nights you reserve. No refunds are given due to your late arrival or early departure. No refunds are given for bad weather or road conditions. (You may choose to purchase travel insurance.)
Vehicle Parking: Our home can accommodate up to four vehicles - two small vehicles in the garage and two in the driveway. There is no parking on the street. No boats, RVs, or trailers are allowed. We provide a remote control for the garage door opener.
Check-in: Check-in time is after 4:00 pm. When planning your arrival, make sure it is no earlier than 4:00 pm. Our home will not be available prior to that time.
Check-out: As you make plans to depart at the end of your stay, remember that check-out time is 10:00 am. Our housekeeper has limited time to clean and prepare our home for the next guests, so adhering to the 10:00 am check-out time is required.
Age Requirement: The person reserving our home must be at least 25 years of age and must occupy the property the entire length of the reservation.
Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is six, no exceptions.
Smoking: Smoking is prohibited everywhere on our property, including the deck and yard.
Pet Policy: Due to allergies in our family, pets are not permitted in our home or on the premises.
Keys: Once full payment has been received, we will send directions to our home and a code for the front door lock box. The code is changed frequently, so the code will not be sent until a week prior to your arrival. An additional key will be inside.
Damage: If there is damage to our home or its contents (beyond normal wear and tear) or theft of its contents, you will be charged a repair/replacement fee.
Quiet: Please be considerate of our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. Quiet Time begins at 10:00pm. No parties allowed!
Phone: Your cell phone should work here, but we have a land-line just in case. Local calls are free, but please use a calling card or credit card for long-distance calls.
Housekeeping: No housekeeping is done during your stay, but you may use the washer and dryer.
Trash Pick-up: If weekly trash pick-up occurs during your stay, we ask that you wheel the trash bin to the end of the driveway in the morning and return the empty trash bin to the garage after the trash is picked up.
