About Our Property
Our home, Rocky Mountain Tranquility, is in a most desirable location, half-way between the town of Estes Park, Colorado, and the south entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The Big Thompson River, which flows behind our home, is stocked with rainbow and brown trout, so fishing is convenient and rewarding.
Our end-unit, three-bedroom, 2 ½ bath townhome was built in 2002, in the Park River West neighborhood, just one mile west of downtown Estes Park. The home has a dramatic two-story layout with light-filled rooms and hardwood floors on the main level. With 1800 ft2, many modern upgrades, and mostly new furnishings, it is a stylish departure from the "rustic" motels and cabins that are common to the area.

Enjoy our open floor plan with the master bedroom suite (king-sized bed) on the main level. The fully-equipped kitchen is open to the great room and features granite countertops with a breakfast bar. Our dining table seats six comfortably. The sun-filled great room has leather couch and chairs, a flat-screen TV and DVD player, vaulted ceilings, and a river rock gas fireplace.
Upstairs are two more bedrooms, a full bath, and a cozy loft. The south (river view) bedroom has a queen-sized bed, while the north (mountain view) bedroom has two extra-long twin beds. The loft has a sofa and rocking chair, another flat-screen TV and DVD player, and a large table for games, puzzles, or laptop use. Air conditioning and ceiling fans make hot summer days very comfortable.
Pine trees line the river outside our back door. Deer and elk are frequent visitors. The sunny deck is great for outdoor dining, watching wildlife, or just relaxing to the sounds of the river and the whispering pines. Deck furniture and a large gas grill are provided. Our neighborhood provides benches and picnic tables along the river for your use. In addition, we have lightweight folding lawn chairs that you may take next to the river for a relaxing afternoon in the sun or the shade.
You are free to use our washer and dryer if you would like to do laundry. Our home also has a two-car attached garage. We provide a remote for the garage door opener, so you stay dry during inclement weather.
Rocky Mountain National Park provides magnificent scenery and many wilderness experiences, but if the weather does not cooperate, our home has much to offer. Our DirecTV satellite dish brings a multitude of television programs. Or choose a movie from our large collection of family-friendly DVDs and watch on one of our three flat-screen TVs. Plug your ipod into the docking station (in great room) and listen to your favorite music in one, some, or all of the rooms. We also have books, puzzles, and board games for you to enjoy. And if you must, enjoy free wireless internet access throughout the home.
For shopping and dining out, the charming village of Estes Park is only a mile away!
